The classical curriculum allows students to accumulate knowledge earlier than would be accomplished in most other educational formats. The classical education trivium (literally “three roads”) begins in the grammar phase, providing the building blocks of the classical foundation. This is followed by the dialectic phase where students begin to think critically about the facts they’ve learned. In the final phase, the rhetoric phase, students develop exceptional writing and oratory abilities. Our graduates have been accepted to the top high schools in New York City.

Our Mission:

Photo of Private Elementary & Middle School in Manhattan, NYCAs a classical Christian school, The Geneva School of Manhattan exists to provide a time-proven classical education within a biblical worldview. We inspire students to love learning, pursue excellence, and become leaders in scholarship, virtue, and faith.

Our Goals
:
* To engage the mind and nourish the spirit
* To instill a lifetime love of learning
* To nurture Christ-centered faith and character

Our Method:

The classical pedagogy forms the foundation of all aspects of the Geneva School curriculum. Our teachers, trained in classical teaching methods, equip students to explore various subjects within the framework of historical periods, beginning with Ancient Egyptian history and progressing to Greek and Roman periods, Middle Ages, Renaissance, and modern history.

We supplement traditional subjects with adjunct classes in music, art, physical education, and languages. We provide training in chess as a way to further engage the mind in problem-solving skills.

Faculty:

In all areas of our school, we pursue excellence. Our faculty is trained in classical pedagogy and seeks to honor and train each student by engaging them in the contemplation of enduring ideas and imitation of biblical truth. Our teachers nurture the whole child by cultivating intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and physical ability.
