Position: Engineer / Maintenance Technician III
Overview

Presbyterian Homes & Services - Orchard Path is seeking an Engineer / Maintenance Technician for its team.

SCHEDULE/HOURS: Mon-Fri (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), 40 Hours Bi-weekly

REPORTING STRUCTURE: This position reports to the Environmental Service Director.

ABOUT THIS COMMUNITY:

Orchard Path, located at 5400 - 157th St. W, Apple Valley, MN 55124, is situated on Cobblestone Lake. It captures the congenial spirit of a traditional neighborhood with the bonus of lakeside activities and nearby urban conveniences. Orchard Path has 115 independent apartments, 58 assisted living, and 20 memory care apartments. This community offers the following living options:
Senior Apartments, Assisted Living, Assisted Living with Memory Care.

Responsibilities

The Engineer is responsible for working independently as well as participating in team initiatives to execute assignments by site leadership. Create a safe and secure environment by maintaining the buildings, grounds, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures, and best practices.

Execute assigned responsibilities for buildings and grounds as defined by the site leadership to include:

  • Building and Equipment repair
  • Troubleshooting complex problems
  • Working with contractors and vendors
  • Maintain life safety systems
  • Preventive maintenance routines
  • Completion of daily work orders
  • Building, grounds, and equipment maintenance
  • Painting
  • Apartment turns
  • Building maintenance
  • Customer requests
  • Snow removal
  • Pool care
  • Other projects as assigned
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years experience in commercial or residential building maintenance.
  • Able to work independently, multitask, follow directions, and work under supervision.
  • Relate well and provide a professional image and services to all customers.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
  • Must be able to participate in an after-hours emergency on-call rotation consisting of one week on-call at a frequency depending on the size of the on-call group.
Pay Range

The estimated starting pay range for this role is $26.33 - $30.12 per hour. This good faith estimate is based upon PHS’s typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends on many factors including each individual employee’s qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change.
