Job Title: Golf Guest Services I, II, III (depending upon experience)
Department: Recreation
Classification: Non-Exempt/Seasonal
Seasonal: April 1st - October 31st (dependent on need and weather conditions)

Pay Based Upon Experience (see grades below)

Golf Guest Services I:
Hiring Range (hourly): $15.58/min - $17.14/mid - $18.70/max
Golf Guest Services II :
Hiring Range (hourly): $17.32/min - $19.06/mid - $20.79/max
Golf Guest Services III:
Hiring Range (hourly): $19.14/min - $21.11/mid - $23.08/max

Position Summary: Performs a variety of tasks for the Aspen Golf Course in support of the Recreation Department. This position could also split time and responsibilities with the maintenance staff.
Supervision Exercised and Received: Position works under the supervision of the Head Golf Professional with the assistance of the Professional staff and Golf Specialist team.

Essential Job Functions:
Customer Service:

  • Greets and assists visitors while providing positive and informative information to patrons.
  • Direct guests, in a friendly and helpful manner, to different locations at the golf course.
  • Assists guests with their personal items and golf clubs when needed.
  • Able to anticipate guests needs without direction.
  • Able to collectively maintain a positive atmosphere during all times and with all guests.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Assists with the daily arrangement and organization of outside services & club house custodial duties:
  • Stages & stocks golf carts for daily play.
  • Charges the batteries of the golf carts daily.
  • Clean and wash the golf carts daily.
  • Driving range management:
  • Able to operate range equipment independently which includes:
    Picking cart, attachment to pick balls, ball washer and ball dispenser.
  • Stage and rotate the driving range per schedule.
  • Assist the teaching professionals with needed equipment.
  • Assist with staging the course, carts and driving range for tournaments and events.
  • Assist monitoring golf cart maintenance and reporting any accidents or damage.
  • Custodial responsibilities for the club house.
  • Assist guests with golf cart issues.
  • GPS maintenance and programming.

  • Ability to effectively and efficiently provide exceptional customer service and possess the ability to take necessary steps to assist customers with their needs with a pleasant attitude.
  • Possesses interpersonal skills including understanding, friendliness, courtesy, tact, empathy, cooperation, concern, and politeness to others and relates well to different people from varied backgrounds and different situations.
  • Other duties and expectations as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements:
    Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    Experience: Preferred if applicants have a minimum of one year experience with golf course atmospheres and operations.
    Technical Knowledge: Must be able to promptly reply to phone calls, text messages, and emails.
    Licenses &

    Certifications:

    Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License or be able to obtain one within 30 days of start date if it is determined that the applicant must drive a vehicle.
    NOTE: This position requires a Criminal Background Check upon hire. Employment is contingent upon passing a Criminal Background Check.

    Position Type and

    Work Hours:

    Seasonal, hours may vary between 16-40 hours per work week, Monday through Sunday, typically April through October.
    Early Mornings & Evenings/Weekends:
    This position requires the applicant to be able to work any day of the week. Hours will vary and include early mornings and evenings.
    Holidays: Required to work during holiday periods.

    Work Environment:

  • Indoors:
    Custodial work in the restrooms and locker rooms.
  • Outdoors:
    Majority of the time working outside either standing or walking.

  • Lifting & Carrying:
    Occasionally up to 50 lbs. such as golf equipment, boxes, equipment, etc.
