• Join a team of interventionalists, general cardiologists, advanced practice providers
• Provide general cardiology, interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular services, including elective angiography and interventions, as well as 24-hour STEMI services
• Growing program, with approximately 2,400 procedures a year, including 300 coronary interventions
• New Heart & Vascular Center opening in 2023-includes 3 cardiac cath suites, space for 4th

Job Description Interventional Cardiology Core Privileges includes the ability to perform history and physical examinations, admit, evaluate, treat, and provide consultation to patients of all ages with acute and chronic coronary artery disease, acute coronary syndromes, and valvular heart disease. Qualifications M.D. or D.O. degree. Experience can be demonstrated in one of the following ways:
An applicant who has just completed a fellowship shall provide his/her fellowship log with a minimum of 250 therapeutic interventional cardiac procedures documented and a letter of reference must come from the fellowship director. OR An applicant who is not applying directly out of a fellowship shall provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where he/she currently has privileges showing his/her clinical activity for the past 24 months, including numbers of procedures performed morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications.

For Interventional catheterization skills, applicants should provide documentation of 250 interventional procedures as the primary operator within the past 24 months and a letter of reference regarding competency from the director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at the institution where the applicant most recently practiced. OR If a quality profile is not available from the hospital(s) where the applicant currently has privileges, documentation of the applicant‘s hospital-based clinical activity for the past 24 months is required.

The American College of Cardiology (ACC) has defined the education, training, and experience necessary for many of these areas.
