Location: Brooklyn Center, MN

Salary: $22.23 - $27.37/hour (based on years of experience)

Shift: Days | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM | 80 hours per 2-week pay period

Job Description:

A Certified Medical Assistant is needed for a clinic-based, full-time role in Brooklyn Center, MN. This role supports providers in delivering patient-centered care across all age groups. The Medical Assistant manages patient flow, performs clinical duties, and maintains smooth communication between patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Care:

  • Room patients and assist with patient flow
  • Administer immunizations, injections, and medications per provider orders
  • Perform lab specimen collection
  • Depending on clinic, may also:
  • Provide telephone support and prescription refill assistance
  • Assist with x-ray duties (if certified)
  • Perform phlebotomy and in-clinic lab testing
  • Clinic Support:

  • Front desk and check-in assistance
  • Supply ordering and inventory stocking
  • Assist with insurance prior authorizations
  • Compliance & Team Collaboration:

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards
  • Follow state board regulations and medical practice standards
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, RNs, clinic supervisors, and patients
  • Engage in skill improvement, continuing education, and organizational initiatives
  • Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Demonstrated clinical proficiency within scope of Medical Assistant practice
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • BLS certification may be required depending on clinic protocols
