Salary: $22.23 - $27.37/hour (based on years of experience)
Shift: Days | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM | 80 hours per 2-week pay period
Job Description:
A Certified Medical Assistant is needed for a clinic-based, full-time role in Brooklyn Center, MN. This role supports providers in delivering patient-centered care across all age groups. The Medical Assistant manages patient flow, performs clinical duties, and maintains smooth communication between patients and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
Room patients and assist with patient flowAdminister immunizations, injections, and medications per provider ordersPerform lab specimen collectionDepending on clinic, may also:Provide telephone support and prescription refill assistanceAssist with x-ray duties (if certified)Perform phlebotomy and in-clinic lab testingClinic Support:
Front desk and check-in assistanceSupply ordering and inventory stockingAssist with insurance prior authorizationsCompliance & Team Collaboration:
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standardsFollow state board regulations and medical practice standardsCommunicate effectively with physicians, RNs, clinic supervisors, and patientsEngage in skill improvement, continuing education, and organizational initiativesQualifications:
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant programDemonstrated clinical proficiency within scope of Medical Assistant practiceStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsBLS certification may be required depending on clinic protocolsBenefits:
