Lab Technician ART - Weekend Shift

We are currently seeking a Full-Time AR Lab Technician for our manufacturing Optical Service Center located in the Northwest suburbs. This is an excellent opportunity to join a great company and team! Full training is provided.

Salary:
From $18.50/hour (this rate includes a $2 shift differential)

$1000 Hiring Bonus:

A $500 BONUS will be paid out to you after 6 months of employment and an additional $500 BONUS will be paid to you after 9 months of employment.

Team B Hours:

Job Summary:

This process applies Anti-Reflective coating to ophthalmic lenses. Primary responsibilities include lens cleaning and inspection, reprocessing of cosmetic defects and proper machine maintenance and chemical additions. Full training will be provided to learn and take pride in quality work. Employee is responsible for the quality of the work performed and is expected to know the quality and safety requirements for all operations that they perform.

Duties:

• Sort incoming work by date, material and process
• Inspect, rack and make lenses ready for coating
• Prepare and maintain solutions for the coating process & assure daily supplies are stocked
• Perform maintenance on production equipment
• Perform other duties as needed

Experience/Qualifications:

• Prior optical experience preferred
• Training will be provided on-site.
• Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
