Shift: Monday to Friday, Day (7:30 AM - 4 PM)+ on-call after training

Pay: $40.85/hr (lower rate for non licensed)

** Senior non licensed Millwright and apprentices are welcome to apply

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintaining a preventative maintenance program for the Elmira facility, including upkeep of the property and buildings, that is in compliance with all corporate procedures and government regulatory guidelines.
• Taking corrective action, where necessary, that is in compliance with corporate procedures and government regulatory guidelines.
• Providing support for all personnel involved in the maintenance and production of the facility, property and buildings; and ensuring high standards of safety, housekeeping, quality, internal service, efficiency and cost control that are consistent with corporate objectives.
• Railcar connecting and sealing
• Replacing/repairing/fabricating all types of mechanical and/ or electrical equipment, providing practical and economical services to increase productivity, including repair/replacement of defective equipment (i.e. pumps, valves, hoses etc.)
• Monitoring contractors’ work in compliance with health and safety regulations and corporate procedures
• Keeping thorough records of all equipment inspections

Requirements:

• Certified licensed Millwright (Preferred)
• 3+ years of work-related experience, preferably including the following trades: plumbing; machinery; pipe fitting; mechanical, welding.
• Strong knowledge of federal/provincial environmental, and health and safety legislation
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and manuals
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Effective time management skills
