Diesel Technician – Wheatland, PA

Hunter Truck is looking for an experienced Diesel Technician to join our team based out of Wheatland, PA. Employment Details:

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
  • Location: Wheatland, PA (on-site at a Hunter Truck customer's facility)

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose & Repair Engines: Work on Cummins, CAT, and PACCAR engines, along with Eaton and Meritor carriers and transmissions.
  • Chassis & Electrical Repairs: Primarily focused on Peterbilt products.
  • Customer Communication: Ensure high-quality service and clear communication with the customer and the service department.
  • Parts Coordination: Work closely with the Parts Department to ensure you have the necessary parts to complete repairs.
  • Warranty Repairs: Identify warrantable repairs and complete them per OEM guidelines.
  • Road Testing: Perform road tests to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle functionality.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist fellow technicians with major repairs and provide guidance.
  • Safety & Efficiency: Maintain a safe work environment and consistently meet productivity and efficiency standards.
  • Professional Development: Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training and events.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of heavy-duty truck experience required
  • CAT, PACCAR, and Cummins engine experience, but not required
  • Must have necessary hand tools to complete repairs
  • Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company standards
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required
  • PA state inspection certification
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a professional appearance
