The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Technology Architect is a technical leader in the IT Enterprise Architecture organization and a champion of business innovation and technology transformation. This role drives the development of architecture within technology domains to modernize the Solventum technology landscape in support of the company’s growth agenda.
The Technology Architect is responsible for defining and guiding strategy, roadmaps, and standards within technology domains to enable an architecture that accelerates growth and agility. The Architect investigates emerging technologies and trends, champions best practice architectures, and drives technology rationalization and optimization in the IT landscape. The Architect also participates in solution delivery efforts to implement designs that are architecture aligned, sustainable, scalable, and cost-effective throughout their lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Technology Strategy - Develop and maintain long-term technology roadmaps aligned with business strategy to assure proper lifecycle management and optimize value realization.
- Architecture Design - Design and document a modern composable enterprise architecture that can scale to meet changing business needs and assures adaptability, scalability, security, and performance requirements.
- Business Needs Analysis - Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders globally to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements for the architecture.
- Solution Development - Perform architecture reviews and provide guidance and oversight on solution design and development projects to ensure alignment with the enterprise architecture.
- Governance and Compliance - Establish and enforce architecture standards, guidelines, and governance processes across the organization while contributing to the development and population of Service Now as the CMDB and repository for architecture processes and artifacts.
- Change Management – Translate and communicate architecture plans and standards to key stakeholders, including executives, project teams, and technical leads.
- Cost Optimization - Analyze and optimize the IT infrastructure to ensure efficient resource utilization and cost-effectiveness.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor or higher AND seven (7) years of experience as an Enterprise Architect, Technical Architect, or similar role in a private, public, government or military environment.
