This is a great opportunity for someone located in the South Metro (Lakeville, Apple Valley, Rosemount) and is ready to take the next step in their leasing career and make an immediate impact.

In this role, you’ll lead leasing operations and collaborate with the property management and marketing teams to develop and execute strategic plans to lease up and stabilize the property. Your focus is to build relationships, lease apartments, and help create an exceptional resident experience.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Leasing Agent for our newest property in Farmington, MN. You will work collectively with the Property Manager and the Leasing & Marketing Manager to identify operational goals and develop strategic plans for leasing up and stabilizing the property.

Essential Functions

General Operations

  • Ensure property is meeting daily expectations as dictated by company standards.
  • Property and grounds walks expected regularly to ensure compliance, appearance, and safety standards are being met.
  • Oversee all leasing operations of the property including lease administration, budgets, forecasting, reporting, anticipated vacancies, marketing, leasing & lease renewals, revenue improvement programs and other operations functions.
  • Responsible for property leasing performance and managing key business metrics (market comp analysis, revenue, occupancy, etc.).
  • Must demonstrate the ability to understand financial goals and assist in the formulation, implementation and management of annual budgets.
  • Regularly communicate with corporate leadership, residents and ownership.
  • Customer Service

  • Address prospective resident complaints, concerns and requests appropriately.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and communication to the prospective residents in order to enhance customer satisfaction thereby reducing apartment turnover and increasing revenue, reputation and overall profitability for the owner.
  • Help create and maintain a positive living experience for all residents.
  • Marketing & Leasing

  • Complete in-depth analysis of sub-market on a monthly basis to ensure your full understanding of market drivers.
  • Create and implement marketing initiatives that help drive revenue.
  • Strategize leasing efforts to fill vacancies and pre-lease for future vacancies to adhere to forecasted goals.

  • A minimum of two years multi-family property management; ideally managing lease-ups and or Class A buildings.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, college-level education strongly preferred.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and the ability to learn property management applications.
  • Entrata property management software knowledge (preferred).
  • Reliable personal transportation and the ability to travel between sites.
  • Excellent follow up and follow through skills; solid organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to work as a team member.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must pass background check and drug testing.
  • Have proven customer service experience.
