We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team and help keep our equipment in top working condition.

Position Overview:
As a Mechanic (Vehicles & Equipment) at USA Site Worx, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of our fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment. Your expertise will ensure that our operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role is critical to minimizing downtime and ensuring that our projects stay on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance & Repair:
    Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks, bulldozers, excavators, and other heavy machinery.
  • Inspections:
    Conduct regular inspections to identify and address mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Preventative Maintenance:
    Develop and adhere to a preventative maintenance schedule for all vehicles and equipment.
  • Inventory Management:
    Manage and maintain an inventory of parts, tools, and supplies; order new parts as necessary.
  • Safety Compliance:
    Ensure all maintenance and repairs meet industry safety standards and comply with regulatory requirements. Always maintain proper attire, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), safety vests and glasses when appropriate, long pants, hard sole/close-toed work boots, and presenting a clean and professional appearance.
  • Communication:
    Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager and other team members to prioritize tasks and provide updates.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, including costs and labor time.
  • Emergency Response:
    Be available for emergency repairs as needed to minimize operational downtime.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    Minimum of 3 years of experience in vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in mechanics or related field preferred.
  • Skills:
    Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge:
    Familiarity with safety regulations and industry best practices for equipment maintenance.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required; CDL is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy parts and equipment, typically up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs].
  • Capable of standing, bending, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, with the manual dexterity required for intricate repairs.
  • Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including outdoors, in all weather conditions, and in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to operate and maneuver equipment to perform diagnostics and repairs.
  • Ability to respond quickly to emergency repair situations, which may require working outside of regular hours.
