Job OverviewWe are seeking a Fire Alarm Service Test & Inspection Technician who is responsible for performing test & inspection on fire alarm systems including, but not limited to, the installation of Dyna Net, troubleshooting and maintenance of fire alarm systems. The Alarm technician is responsible for test & inspecting fire alarm systems in the most efficient manner to assure minimum down time and maximum performance.
All inspections must meet the highest quality standards set forth by Dyna Fire, Inc., while assuring a professional and safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, communication, and problem solving skills.
- Responds to customer’s service related issues promptly and must have the ability to effectively deal with customers, some that will require high levels of patience.
- Maintain the ability to effectively communicate the needs required to complete Dyna Fire’s scope of work to all parties responsible for portions effecting the timely completion of that scope.
- To test, troubleshoot, program fire alarm systems and documentation required to meet all applicable industry codes and standards.
- The ability to effectively hand and computer program fire alarm panels commonly installed by Dyna Fire.
- Follow all Dyna Fire’s policies and procedures.
- Train and instruct the customer on the proper use of the equipment.
- Responsible for operation of the following test equipment:
Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Tone Generator, and Battery Tester.
- The Fire Alarm Systems Technician shall possess a two-year electronics degree or equivalent combination of education and related field experience. A working knowledge of computers and communications systems is required. You must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Employee must have a means of communicating via ISP for VPN connection. NICET level II.
