This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development, and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility for the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and Dev Ops principles.
Essential Responsibilities:Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Five to six years of relevant experience
Required Skills/Experience
- Experience designing and building data systems using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience building data models, data pipelines, and data storage solutions
- Experience building ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines and workflows, ensuring data quality and consistency. Automate ETL/ELT pipelines including data ingestion, transformation, and consumption
- Hands on with SQL, Programming (Python), PySpark, Scala
- Experience with scheduling tools Autosys, Airflow
- Experience using Amazon RDS for Oracle, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon EMR, EC2, AWS Data Sync, Amazon Elastic File System (EFS), S3, Amazon Athena, Amazon Dynamo
DB, Amazon Cloudwatch, Simple Notification Services (SNS), Simple Queue Services (SQS), Lambda, and AWS Step Functions, and AWS Key Management Service (KMS), AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS Data Lakes, Amazon EMR (Elastic Map Reduce) - Experience with CI/CD pipeline
- Implementing data governance policies
- Troubleshooting data-related issues and identifying performance bottlenecks.
- Monitoring the performance and health of data pipelines and systems.
- Knowledge of AI
- Understanding of Agile tools such as JIRA and Zephyr
- Demonstrating knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, and Kanban
Location Expectations
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
