Finish Technician

We are currently hiring a Finishing Machine Operator – Jackson, MS

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Location:

289 Commerce Park Drive, Suite F, Ridgeland, MS 39157

Hourly Rate: $16/hour

What you’ll do:

• Spot lenses to check power and prism.
• Inspects and pad block on lens using blocking equipment
• Operates edging equipment to edge lenses to proper specifications.
• Use buffer to polish edges of lenses before mounting.
• Clean and insert ophthalmic lenses into ophthalmic frames.
• Using a lensometer, check lens attributes against established standards.
• Verify lens treatments and proper frame alignment against the prescription.
• Additional duties as assigned by Production Manager.

Qualifications:

• The ability to communicate openly with others and work as a team.
• Must be able to work overtime or flexible shifts when needed.
• Must be able to follow all company policies and procedures.
• Must be able to understand and implement work instructions.
• Must be able to understand basic job work tickets.
• The ability to do simple/basic math
• Work without supervision.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts as well as the noise level in the work environment may require P.P.E.
• Safety glasses and long sleeve shirts may be required where needed.
