The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As the Director of IT Infrastructure, you will have the opportunity to leverage your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse professionals from around the globe. In this role, you will make a significant impact by addressing the challenges of implementing and operating Zero Trust Network Security for our Global Network Infrastructure team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of our network security infrastructure, ensuring the highest levels of security and compliance. This role demands a deep understanding of Zero Trust principles and the ability to effectively integrate them into our network security strategy.
Here, you will make an impact by:
Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive network security strategy with a focus on Zero Trust principles.
- Lead and mentor a team of network security professionals, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align network security initiatives with business objectives.
Zero Trust Network Implementation and Operations:
- Design and implement Zero Trust Network Security frameworks, including network segmentation, identity and access management and continuous monitoring.
- Evaluate and select security technologies and solutions that support Zero Trust principles.
- Ensure the integration of Zero Trust security measures across all network layers and endpoints.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and other security appliances.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate risks.
- Develop and enforce network security policies, procedures, and standards.
Your Skills and Expertise:
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Ten (10) years of experience in network security, in a private, public, government, or military environment.
- Five (5) years of experience in a leadership role.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Proven experience in designing and implementing Zero Trust network security frameworks using Palo Alto Network and/or Zscaler technologies
- In-depth knowledge of network security technologies, protocols, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust network principles and their application in a corporate environment using Palo Alto Network and/or Zscaler technologies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
Work location:
- Work Your Way Eligible (hybrid) – Minneapolis
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international travel
