HIGH PERFORMANCE. LOW PROFILE. We like to kid people if they haven't heard of Axel H. Ohman that they've been living under a stone, and it's probably one of ours. It's always been our philosophy to focus solely on the customer, and let the lasting quality of our work speak for itself in the Minneapolis skyline and in the referrals from clients.
Our company has grown from a one-man door to door stone mason in South Minneapolis to a modern day, family-owned command center that can capably manage the largest of projects, while retaining the master techniques needed to restore precious historic buildings. How do we do it? We work hard, we hire good people, and we treat what we do and who we serve with genuine care.
Due to continued growth, we are actively seeking a Concrete Foreman who has experience in commercial and industrial slab on grade, flatwork, footings, and foundations.
Primary Responsibilities andQualifications:
- Builds rough wooden and steel structures, such as concrete forms and other rough carpentry items according to sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions.
- Uses basic carpentry and concrete fabrication techniques.
- Experience with slab on grade, flatwork, footings, and/or foundations.
- Experience working on commercial projects preferred.
- Cuts or saws boards, timbers, or plywood to required dimensions, using handsaw or power saw.
- Identify hazards associated with task assignments and ask questions if clarification is needed.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to Supervisor.
- Work effectively as a team member.
- Commit to and meet scheduled attendance and production deadlines.
- Union wages/scale with year-end bonus potential.
- Substantial sign-on bonus based on experience.
- Health benefits covered through the Union.
Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans.
