Production Manager, Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma
Our client; a leading vertically integrated cannabis company, is seeking a dynamic Director of Manufacturing to lead operations, build a strong culture, and elevate manufacturing processes to world-class standards.
This role is perfect for a hands-on leader who thrives on creating positive change, solving complex challenges, and driving operational excellence in a mission-driven environment.
This is an in person role in the Monterey, CA area
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of high-volume production, including batch processing and packaging, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and safety.
Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and Kaizen initiatives to optimize processes and enhance overall efficiency (OEE).
Maintain rigorous GMP standards while navigating regulatory requirements such as FDA and NSF audits.
Build strong relationships with team members at all levels, fostering collaboration, kindness, and growth.
Stay ahead of industry trends by integrating automation, Industry 4.0 solutions, and cutting-edge manufacturing technologies.
Strategically manage Cap Ex and OpEx budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to financial targets.
Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost, quality, productivity, and scrap reduction.
Qualifications:
10+ years in a manufacturing leadership position.
Deep knowledge of GMP protocols, cleanroom environments, and lean manufacturing principles (Six Sigma certification is a plus).
Proven ability to lead large teams (162+ employees) while creating a collaborative, positive workplace culture.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage with both shop floor teams and senior executives effectively.
Compensation: $150,000 plus full benefits!
