Environmental Field Technician​/Laborer

An Environmental Field Technician at SET Environmental is responsible to:

• Ensure the health and safety of the crew, customer, and site by adhering to SET safety policies and procedures by identifying, communicating, and mitigating hazards.
• Take an active role on crews by participating in both scheduled and emergency response-based projects.
• Assist in loading equipment and supplies for project needs.
• Exert moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 50lbs.
• Work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Support various environmental projects ranging from, but not limited to:
• Confined Space Entry – CSE.
• Environmental remediation.
• Waterway response.
• Hazardous materials clean up.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as necessary.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be over 21 years old.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER or ability to obtain.
• Must be flexible to changes in work schedule and be available for On-call.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform physical labor under the direction of crew leads.
• Ability to respond to out-of-town projects as needed.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English sufficiently.
• Industry/Construction experience preferred but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record that meets SET insurance requirements.
