What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

Greet and escort patients and guests to examination rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment

Document patient information and vital signs accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Assist healthcare providers by performing diagnostic tests and entering medical orders into the EMR

Administer prescribed medications and facilitate prescription renewals as directed by healthcare providers

Provide patient and caregiver education to enhance understanding of medical procedures and treatments

What is Required (Qualifications):

High School Diploma or GED

Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent clinical training

Valid CPR certification and, if applicable, current licensure as a Medical Assistant or EMT in the State of Michigan

0-1 year of previous clinical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Proficient in medical terminology and operating electronic medical record systems
