Local partner schools have contracted AVSE-TESOL in Cambodia to recruit 16 qualified foreign teachers (native or near-native English speakers) for brilliant ESL teaching jobs in Phnom Penh. These ongoing positions are equally suitable for newcomers to teaching ESL and seasoned campaigners.
Key tasks include:
- Plan and deliver high-energy and fun ESL lesson
- Work with Vietnamese ESL students of all ages and skill levels
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Design and implement tests - and provide constructive feedback
- Work as part of a team - foreign teachers, local teachers and local staff
- Guide English language students (and their families)
- Participate in school events and personal development opportunities
Position Requirements
Core requirements include:
- Government-regulated TESOL/TEFL/CELTA is preferred, but training is available
- Clear background (police) check
- Computer literate
- Decent English language skills (C1 level or higher if a non-native English speaker)
- Culturally sympathetic, adaptable, easy to get along with.
Note: holding a university or college degree is not a core requirement to work legally as an ESL teacher in Cambodia.
