We are seeking a skilled Industrial Service Electrician to join our dynamic and growing team.
About the Role:
As an Industrial Service Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment and systems, including motor control panels, distribution systems, cable trays, conduits, and building management systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring electrical safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
This position involves fieldwork out of a service vehicle (up to 100% of the time), often in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You should be comfortable working independently or within a team, handling electrical tools safely, and performing physically demanding tasks, such as walking long distances, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment, motor control panels, and control systems
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using testing devices, schematics, and technical drawings
- Read and interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams, and specifications
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes
- Work in various industrial environments while maintaining high safety standards
- Perform mechanical assembly and fabrication work when required
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
- Provide mentorship and training to co-workers
- Collaborate with the service team toward a common goal in a high-performance environment
- Estimate new jobs/projects when required
What You Bring:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial setting
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Strong understanding of process and equipment operations
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Experience with electrical and automated control systems
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and time management skills
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- A safety-first mindset at all times
Preferred Qualifications (Assets):
- FSR A or B Certification
- WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid Level 1 or higher
- Experience with PLC or VFD programming
