Brembo North America is seeking an experienced developer or analyst to join our IT team as a new IT manufacturing execution system (MES) analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, administering, and developing shop floor, quality, and building automation systems for our US and Mexico factories. You'll be working with Microsoft development tools and PTC Thingworx IIOT platform, as well as providing data analytics solutions under the direction of the Regional COE lead - Smart Manufacturing.
As part of a team tasked with rolling out standards in shop floor systems in locations within Brembo North America, you'll work closely with the CoE of Smart Manufacturing and the plant departments, particularly with operations, quality, and maintenance.
Primary responsibilities:
Install, administer, customize, and develop IIOT and automation systems in a manufacturing environment from connected machines and devices.Manage relations with vendors, plant management, and users to develop and maintain user-friendly applications and reports for shop floor, MES, and building automation areas.Assist with integrating manufacturing systems with other enterprise applications.Develop data sources for Business Authors to use.Provide on-call level 2 support for MES and IIOT systems.Train users on functions and use of MES, IIOT, and quality systems.Develop user manuals for quality and manufacturing systems.Work with business teams to identify continuous improvement opportunities to the existing shop floor practices, processes, and tools.Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with relational databases, particularly SQL Server.2-year degree (4-year preferred) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering or similar technical field (will consider work experience in lieu of formal education).Experience with applying one or more programming languages.General knowledge of IT practices particularly related to handling data between systems, export/transform/load ETL methods, database (SQL) and reporting.Familiarity with dashboard analytics: like Power
BI, Grafana, or Spotfire.OPC experience required.Experience with IT systems in a manufacturing environment preferred.Experience in the implementation of Business Intelligence and Factory Floor systems preferred.Familiarity with secure code and cyber security practices.Experience in integrating manufacturing systems with ERP systems a plus.Relational Database: SQL Server, DB creation, database views, stored procedures and triggers.Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Must be proficient in the use of MS Office tools.Must be a self-starter able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.Demonstrated punctuality in tasks and work habits.Must possess excellent English skills. Spanish language ability a plus.Experience with PTC Thingworx, Kepware are a huge plus.Travel between Homer and Plymouth up to 20% of the time.If you're a developer or analyst looking for an exciting opportunity with a leading manufacturer, we encourage you to apply.
