Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager General Manufacturing I for its Business Unit, Armament Systems located in Plymouth, MN. Armament Systems specializes in the development and production of Ammunition, Guns and Precision Guidance Ordinance.

Responsibilities of this role:

Lead a team of Engineering Technicians within the Operations department. This General Manufacturing Manager role supports the Northrop Grumman Armament System PGK programs.

Specific responsibilities and desired experience include:

• Effectively lead a diverse team of Engineering Technicians in a dynamic product production environment.

• Set and promote high standards for quality and safety.

• Foster a working environment which reinforces and drives accountability to fundamental Northrop Grumman Values focused on integrity, quality, shared success, and innovation.

• Partner with engineering and program management peers to assure a balanced and efficient assignment of resources to support the PGK program and achievement in key performance metrics.

• Drive Team technical excellence in Production.

• Balance PGK group workload and staffing requirements to meet current and future program needs.

• Coach direct reports in the areas of career development, performance, and teamwork. Provide training and development opportunities. Provide continual feedback and hold quarterly connections.

Basic Qualifications

• We are emphasizing skills for this role. Position requires 7 years of experience. Will consider 3 years of experience with a BS degree or 1 year experience with a MS degree in an Engineering Discipline.

• 2+ years of project, program, or people leadership experience.

• Excellent communication skills – written and oral.

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

• Ability to solve problems and drive continuous improvements.

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Must be a US Citizen and able to acquire a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Degree.

• Strong general knowledge in manufacturing methods and processes.

• IPC J-STD-001 Certification.

Salary Range: $90,700 - $136,100
