A Radiology Technologist ensures accurate radiologic diagnosis by operating complex imaging equipment and performing patient care tasks, all while adhering to safety and quality standards. The role involves updating patient information, completing necessary forms, and verifying clinical data while maintaining high standards of integrity and patient-centered care. Under the direction of the department manager, performs interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to insure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients.

Interviews patients and reviews available clinical data from charts to alert any party to possible contradictions for procedure.

Operates highly complex radiographic equipment within the radiology department, operating suites and at the patient's bedside, selecting technical factors to ensure high-quality images using the

A.Understands and is able to utilize operating room and x-ray equipment

Performs various clerical duties including, but not limited to

1 Verification of information (to include reading and verifying physican written order) and exams performed, using CR, DR, and PACs immediately after completing exams.

Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his /her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job related hazards.

Must be a graduate of an approved twoyear program. Graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiology Technology. Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technology or registry eligible, must obtain within 3 months of hire.
