ABC Millwork & Cabinetry, a Division of US LBM, is Seeking a Shipping Logistics Lead for Our Shakopee, MN Location.

Schedule: Monday
- Friday with occasional Saturday overtime

Wage: $27.00-$30.00/per hour based on experience

The role of the Shipping Logistics Lead is to efficiently and effectively utilize company resources to best serve our customers through communication and strategic thinking. Daily duties include:

  • Complete delivery and load quality audits
  • Ability to manage performance of team in a respectful and engaging manner
  • Capability to lead department meetings and communicate goals and updates
  • Scheduling & Dispatching of outgoing deliveries onto truck routes
  • Geo-coordinating job site locations for accuracy of delivery
  • Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers by attending to the needs of the will-call desk
  • Assist with scheduling truck maintenance as needed
  • Maintain delivery tickets and route manifests as needed
  • Printing manifests and delivery tickets on a daily basis
  • Communicating truck routes/needs with the dispatcher and shipping supervisor
  • Checking driver loads and paperwork at start of shift
  • Invoicing
  • Answering driver phone calls and troubleshooting delivery issues
  • Fleet management and scheduling repairs as needed
  • Setting up couriers as needed/approved by supervisor
  • Maintaining records and communication documents
  • Communicating with the service and sales departments as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum education required—High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum experience required—2 years of building materials or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, demonstrated time management and organizational skills, interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with various levels of personnel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving ability
  • Physical demands include stooping, bending, twisting and sitting. Working in a variety of climates and environmental conditions. Ability to lift up 25 lbs. on a regular basis and 50 lbs. on occasion.
