SUMMARY: SABG is hiring an Operations Support Analyst Advanced to support Warfighter Operational Integration work with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in Dahlgren, Virginia. Provide advisory and assistance services to the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Warfighter Operational Integration (DW), and Sea Based Weapon Systems Program Executive (AB) in Dahlgren, VA, supporting coordination and development of products related to systems engineering activities for current and future instantiations of the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) system.

Individual will apply Aegis BMD operational experience to advise and support the AB Warfighter Operational Support (ABW) Director, to discover, integrate, innovate, and advocate for the Warfighter in order to support & influence the Sea-Based Weapon Systems community and the delivery of capability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leading and defining integrated efforts of team members meeting 41 Performance Objectives to further ABW lines of effort (e.g. Operational Support, Requirements & Baseline Development, Wargames & Exercises, Ground Test)
• Advising the ABW Director of activities and recommendations related to ABW strategy, project development and management
• Responsible for supporting coordination efforts related to various products across MDA elements, COCOM/Fleet commands, and within AB
• Directs organizational focus on challenging and highly complex projects
• Advise the tactical and technical community on Fleet BMD mission tactics, techniques, and procedures, analysis, operational employment, and potential integration of future capabilities into FLEET BMD missions and defense design
• Provide support to the Aegis BMD Focused Fleet Feedback program, reviewing language for technical/operational accuracy
• Support Aegis BMD Warfighter engagements, such as building operationally focused capability briefings, and reviewing other briefings for technical/operational accuracy
• Support the use of models and simulation (M&S) to represent Aegis BMD in MDA approved exercises, tests, and analysis efforts
• Receive, review and allocate tasks with instructions and suspense, track progress, receive task input, review, and prepare submission for decision maker
• Develop quick look status, lessons learned and/or after-action reports of events/ meetings/ review
• Potential of 25% travel, some international

SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10+ years technical and operational knowledge of the Aegis Weapon System
• Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) and/or Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) familiarity
• Operational naval experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Former Naval Officer (Surface Warfare Officer (SWO)) or former Senior Enlisted Aegis Fire Control man (FCA): (E7/E8/E9)
• Qualifications:
  
  BMD Watch Officer (BMDO), Anti-Air Warfare Coordinator (AAWC), Combat Systems Coordinator (CSC), Tactical Action Officer (TAO)
