Position

Description:

The Garden Team Member will assist with a variety of gardening duties in an outdoor environment to maintain landscape gardens and vegetable gardens.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with multiple gardening tasks-watering, planting, weeding, and mulching variety of established garden beds.
• Ability to work efficiently individually and as part of a team.
• Harvesting of various fruits and vegetables on a daily/weekly basis.
• Pest and disease identification, monitoring production beds
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

• Effective communication skills
• Self-starter possessing great multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work efficiently individually and with other team members.
• Basic familiarity with a multitude of vegetables, fruits, and plants.
• Ability to undertake manual labor. (lifting, kneeling, shoveling, etc.)
• Ability to work outside in variable Wisconsin weather from early spring until late fall.
• Must demonstrate high standard of professionalism.
• Adhere to all company safety rules and guidelines.

Language Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret English language documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of the company.

No travel is required with this position.
