- Sound Engineering and Music Technology
Duration – 32 Weeks
Accreditation: City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Multitrack Recording and Composition & STC Diploma in Sound Engineering and Music Technology.
This course is designed to give a comprehensive and thorough overview of the practices and technologies of the recording industry.
This includes modules on studio recording practices, analog and software based mixing and processing, composition skills, music business, electronics, and more.
- Advanced Sound and Music Technology
Duration – 32 Weeks
Accreditation: City and Guilds level 3 Diploma in Sound Engineering and Music Technology & STC Diploma in Advanced Music Production. This sound engineering programme immerses the student in a professional working environment.
Along with an engaging academic programme, students are given the opportunity to undertake work experience in our two main studios, Apollo and Grouse Lodge, and work with some of the finest artists in the Irish music industry.
- Certified Beginner and Intermediate Course (with Martin Clancy)
Duration – 15 weeks
Accreditation: Ableton Certification. This beginner/intermediate course covers the Ableton essentials for both those starting out and those looking to brush up on their skill.
It is our intention that Graduates gaining distinctions from their classes will be given the opportunity of professional work experience or to Remix a release for North America.
- Live Sound, Lighting and Stage Production
Duration – 32 Weeks (Monday – Thursday)
Accreditation: City & Guilds 7603 Level 3 Award & STC Diploma in Live Sound and Stage Production. The goal of this course is to fully prepare the student to work in all areas of this dynamic and exciting field.
The Live Sound programme utilises one of Dublin’s finest music venues, the Button Factory, as its primary training facility.
- Practical Electronics for Musicians
Duration – 12 weeks
An exciting course introducing the world of electronics, geared towards musicians and audio professionals.
Students learn everything from the principles of electricity, circuit testing and measurement to all aspects of electronic project building and maintenance, including circuit design, component sourcing, and more.
