Milton College:
Milton College is a modern professional school in Sydney, Australia, with a friendly atmosphere, specialising in getting students into universities, vocational colleges and high schools. The College has two campuses located in North Sydney, the main campus and the Arthur Street campus, both a short distance from each other. The Arthur Street campus houses our High School Preparation and IELTS Preparation courses. The growth in number of students at Milton is mainly due to its strong educational values in offering the best education with the best teachers available. Milton College is accredited by the National ELT Accreditation scheme (NEAS), and is a member of the ELICOS Association.
Milton College is a member of English Australia (EA) the same association that the main university English language centres belong to. The courses taught at Milton are accredited by the National ELT Accreditation scheme (NEAS), the same accreditation scheme that the main university English language centres have gone through.
Milton College offers 7 levels of General English, from complete Beginner to Lower Advanced level. We also offer High School Preparation, with links to all government high schools and some of the most prestigious private schools in Sydney. As well, we have a range of Academic Courses, including 4 levels of IELTS, Cambridge FCE, TOEIC and English for Academic Purposes with direct entry to a range of universities, colleges and TAFE.
At Milton College, we have many activities for the students. During the months from April till August we have a soccer competition against other ELICOS schools.
Milton also runs excursions every month. This is a fantastic way to meet other students and teachers, practise your English and learn more about the culture and life in Sydney. The excursions range from going on a cruise down the Hawkesbury River, catching a ferry to Watsons Bay, and our own disco ferry dance
There is a range of accommodation options for students in Sydney. Our homestay officer and staff at Milton College can help students find suitable accommodation. Homestay allows students to stay with an Australian family in their home, giving them the chance to practice their English outside the classroom. Meals are provided and students can experience the warmth of family life while they are away from their home country. Share accommodation is another popular option. Students can share a house or an apartment with fellow students or with native Australians.
We will find you an Australian family on request. As Australia is a multi-cultural country, we have migrants from different backgrounds, such as Italian, Greek, French or Asian. They all speak English, and it is a great opportunity for you to practice your English.
