Mandarin Immersion Program (MIP)
This program is based on the need to acquire practical Mandarin communication skills in real life and work. Different from a traditional classroom course model, this program allows you to immerse yourself in real life experiences that require you to utilize and develop your Chinese communication skills through authentic daily practice and activities.

Aiming to get you thinking and speaking in Mandarin from day one, this program is based on action learning and experiential learning concepts. You learn to communicate in Mandarin by immersing yourself in an authentic Mandarin speaking environment, using Mandarin in real life interactions to complement and reinforce teaching activities. Immersion allows you to learn in weeks what would normally take a year or more.

Teaching Methods:
Teaching methods include classroom learning, seminars, practice sessions, workshops, presentations, as well as guided tours. To avoid the problems of having learned a lot of language structures and grammar but not being able to communicate in real life, this program involves learner participation in natural, complex, real world communication and focuses heavily on managing daily communications in real life and work. In the classroom, we will focus on the meaning and contents of Mandarin rather than drills on pronunciation and grammar. You pick up the native accent and correct sentence structures by using Mandarin in a Mandarin context.
