Bonn:
With a population of over 300,000, Bonn is situated in beautiful surroundings on the banks of the Rhine in the west of Germany. The birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven, it was the capital of the Federal Republic of Germany until 1990.

The city's character is shaped by the University of Bonn, with its 38,000 students, and by the many renowned companies with their headquarters there. 

The Rheinaue park, has some 40 kilometres of trails, a large lake, many landscaped gardens, open air events, sporting activities and picnic grounds. In the region around Bonn, the Eifel National Park is ideal for hiking, and the Ahrtal Valley's vineyards offer memorable wine tasting experiences.
