Academic English Course:
Suitable for students from intermediate to advanced level (B1 – C1), this course provides an excellent opportunity to develop your English language skills in an academic context before you start a pre-sessional course at university. 

Held in 4-week blocks, this course consists of 15 hours per week of contact classes and 7 hours per week of guided self-study in the form of writings, readings, and presentation preparation. 

The Academic English course can also be combined with a General English or IELTS exam preparation course in the afternoons. You can also join one afternoon excursion per week to a place of cultural interest, which provides 3 extra hours of spoken English and listening practice.

In this course, you will:
- Learn to pick out key points in lectures and talks
- Refine reading skills
- Give presentations and work on pronunciation
- Work on grammatical accuracy
- Practise note taking and summarising text
- Develop reference and citation skills in English
- Expand vocabulary in an academic context
