Would you like to work as a professional Special Effects (SFX) Makeup Artist for theater, TV or film productions? London Eyes International Makeup Academy in Chicago provides Master Classes in SFX makeup that aim to provide you with the knowledge and ability to create high quality special makeup effects. Established in 2004, we have two conveniently-situated schools in Oakbrook Terrace (a western suburb of Chicago) and Rosemont (to the north-west). All of our programs are certified by the Illinois State Board of Education.

Special Effects Makeup Training:

- Special F/X Master Class (16 hours) 
Learn how to effectively produce high-quality special effects makeup for theatrical work, TV programs and movie productions. This Special Effects program aims to prepare you to accurately situate characters within the plot as a tool to propel the story forward and to gain an understanding of directing, editing and continuity. In addition, you will become familiar with the history of special makeup effects, as well as with current trends in the industry. 

Course Content:  Materials, History of Special Makeup F/X; Trauma, Exposure, Illness & Death Makeup; Bruises, Minor Cuts; 3-D Bullet Wounds; 3-D Burns 

- Special F/X Advanced Master Class (16 hours) 
In this course, you will take a deeper dive into the world of Special Effects. With an introduction to new processes and new materials, you will learn how to apply a bald cap, apply pre-made appliances and explore the process involved in gender makeup and facial hair.
