Hills Learning is a language school located in the heart of New York City. We offer both private and group classes for the Korean language. Our group Korean class is held near Grand Central Station at 380 Lexington, 17th floor, New York, NY. For private classes, we match Korean language teachers in the NYC area with students based on their language needs, personality, location, and other factors. For group lessons we currently offer a beginner class. Whether your reasons to learn the Korean language are academic, professional, cultural or personal, we’ll find the right match for you. We cover Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, The Bronx, and Staten Island as well as parts of New Jersey and Connecticut.

It is our personal experience that the most effective way to learn a language is from face to face interaction with a professional Korean teacher. We have an array of teachers and classes to match your individual learning needs and help you learn Korean effectively.

Teaching Methods:
Hills Learning’s curriculum for Korean comprises both language and cultural instruction. For each class, we follow our SWIRL methodology, developing at least three of the five language skills per class (Speaking, Writing, Intonation, Reading, Listening). Our main goal for Korean private lessons is to develop conversational skills, but we also specialize in test prep, cultural etiquette, or just general language acquisition. And of course, we can meet student’s individual goals and requirements.

With this basic framework, each teacher creates and develops her own teaching materials based on student needs and goals. All teachers undergo a thorough review and testing process, and also must follow guidelines and best practices from Hills Learning when creating teaching materials for Korean class.
