International Summer School for Teens in Scotland, London & Oxford UK:
Prepare your teenage child for the upcoming IB / GCSE school year with an intensive and stimulating study skills summer course in the UK in 2024. International Summer School for Teens in Scotland provides residential, academic and sports-based summer camps in Stirling (just 40 minutes from Edinburgh and 35 minutes from Glasgow). Designed for both local and international students ages 12-17, our 3-week courses take place on the stunning campus of University of Stirling.

Study Skills (PRE IB / GSCE / preparing for SAT, ACT, IELTS exams)
• Suitable for advanced English readers / writers and fluent English speaking students
• Preparing for exams with confidence including tests such as SAT, ACT, IELTS.
• Students also choose one creative or sports course from the following: Golf, Tennis, Soccer Football, Sports Leadership, Photography, Theatre / Drama / Acting techniques, or Introduction to Coding.

• Designed to instil our students with the skills and confidence required for academic success at high school after the summer.
• Our study skills class is specifically designed for students starting the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or GCSE exams, and prepares students for the workload and level of study that they can expect in the IB / GCSE curriculum during the school year.

• Students will learn how to research, prepare for lectures, take part in debates, give oral presentations with confidence and construct a draft essay which will get them ready for the academic years which lie ahead.

Topics / subjects include:
• Note taking techniques
• Research skills including working in a Virtual Learning Environment
• How to structure and write an essay in an academic context
• Referencing
• How to analyse text and develop critical thinking skills
• Academic integrity
• Communicating your ideas articulately through debate and oral presentations
• Preparing for exams with confidence including tests such as SAT, ACT, IELTS
• Time management skills
• Intro to CAS (IB students).

Alternative Study Skills Camp Option in the UK for ages 13-18 years with ISSFT:
• 3-week Residential Summer School Programme in London, England
• In July 2024 for Boys & Girls of ages 13-18 years old (British & international students)
• Imperial College London campus program + boarding accommodation
• Students choose 1 Academic course (Study Skills / 39 Hours) + 1 Elective course.
• Sport / Creative Elective Courses (39 Hours) options in Oxford:
Golf, Tennis, Rowing, Photography, Theatre / Drama / Acting techniques.
