Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery School in Florence:
Alchimia is a private contemporary jewellery school located in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. We provide a wide range of academic, short-term intensive jewellery courses - including our innovative summer workshops and one-on-one courses in contemporary jewellery.

The school is located near Palazzo Pitti and Piazza del Carmine, 15 walking minutes from the Central Station and the famous Florence Dome in the heart of the "Oltrarno", since the Middle Ages the "district" of the handicraft workshops of the city.

The neighbourhoods are quiet and safe, full of small restaurants and artist studios in the narrow streets and romantic "piazzas". 


Jewellery Design Short Courses / Workshops:
Short 3-day workshops to a maximum of 1 week. 

• The Electric philosopher’s stone – Electroforming and plating techniques (2 days)
• Water, sand and stone casting (3 days)
• Exploring pigments and gold leaf on metal (3 days)
• Blinking lights: a glimpse into antique Japanese inlay technique, Nunome Zogane (3 days)
• White&Gold Summer workshop (5 day course).

Intensive courses are a good solution for those who have limited time to study and experiment in the area of contemporary jewellery.

All courses are taught on a one-to-one basis, with each student guided individually to ensure that lessons meet their specific need. Two different types of programs are offered: technical and conceptual.
