Eastern Fare Music Foundation, Bangalore:
Eastern Fare Music Foundation is one of the India’s foremost independent music schools. With commercial and western classical music as its key focus areas, the institute provides three elementary courses – beginners, intermediate and advanced in acoustic guitar, classical guitar, piano and keyboard. Students seriously aspiring for a career in music can enroll for a graded course recognized by Trinity Guildhall.
At present Eastern Fare operates in four locations across Bangalore (Koramangala, HSR, Bellandur, Vijaynagar) and provides training to over a thousand students. Eastern Fare’s holistic approach to music education is dedicated to the artistic development of talented and promising musicians. Therefore, the programs include rigorous schedule of lessons, practice and theoretical learning. In addition, students are also encouraged to participate in many esteemed competitions and performances. They can also avail the services of the audio studio and the production house to explore their creative abilities.
In 2009, Eastern Fare opened a club called Eastern Fare Music Club for music enthusiasts and to develop the expressive potential of the students besides encouraging their technical knowhow of music. The club is equipped with a state-of the art jamming room and two semi-Acoustic studios. The studios are also available for commercial services like composing and arranging musical scores for Television and Film production, Voice Over recording and editing. Members of Eastern Fare Music Club formed two bands, Veenar and Eastern Fare in the months of Dec, 2008 and July, 2009 respectively. Veenar is a Fusion-Jazz band and Eastern Fare is an Acoustic Rock Band.
‘Count Your Blessings’, a philanthropic initiative by Eastern Fare Music Club was established in October, 2010. The members of this initiative focus mainly on blood donation camps, donation to non-profit organizations, visiting slum areas and giving aid, giving education to underprivileged children and visiting senior citizens home and orphanage in recognition of their social responsibilities. So far, the members of this initiative have donated blood at various hospitals in Bangalore and other cities in India, visited senior citizen homes and orphanage like 'Anandashram' in Bangalore, organized charitable events for organization like 'People for Animals' in Guwahati, Assam, India, and donated money.
