Foundation Course in Art and Design:
Duration: 24 weeks

Our intensive Foundation Course in Art and Design allows you to explore a wide range of art and design subjects as part of your preparation for BA application.

Our full time Foundation Course delivers a weekly 15-hour programme, plus 12 hours free studio access per week.

Students explore various art and design disciplines, experiment with a range of materials, methods and approaches, and build a successful portfolio of work for UK, EU and international degree applications at leading arts universities and colleges.

• Fine Art Specialist Pathway
Students are challenged to develop a visual language that reflects how they respond to their environment. 

Students visit galleries and museums in and around London where they get a sense of becoming part of a visual arts community exploring paint, digital, sculpture, photography, video/film and installation.

• Fashion Design Specialist Pathway
As a fashion designer, you must have sound contextual knowledge of fashion, and costume, historical and contemporary.

You need good research skills investigating culture, traditions and artifacts and be willing to visit museums and galleries, such as the V&A Museum and the British Museum in London and fashion shows.

• Textile Design Specialist Pathway
This pathway can help your understanding of Textile Design and give you the confidence to reach your goals.

Graduates of a degree program in textile design can go on to create textiles in a variety of industries and at a variety of career levels.

• Graphic Design Specialist Pathway
The Graphic Design pathway enables you to discover the different career paths in graphic design that are best for you. We help you prepare a strong portfolio or coursework to achieve the grade you need for University.

• Architecture and 3D Spatial Design Specialist Pathway
This course can help you learn through sketching, making and playing in three dimensions; experiment in a range of materials, improve drawing skills and utilise the computer.

Students visit exhibitions at museums; learn about architecture, product design, toy design, appliances and automisation, plus the smaller pieces of 3D design such as jellewery.
