ECS Scotland, Edinburgh:
Founded in 1995, ECS Scotland is a family run, British Council accredited English language training centre located in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town. Specialising in small group and 1-to-1 training to professional adults, ECS Scotland offers a variety of tailor made courses starting any Monday of the year.

General English 15 or 20hrs per week
Our General English courses enable students to work together in a small group to improve general English language skills and to focus on speaking and listening practice:

* developing your general English vocabulary so you can express yourself precisely
* discussing a wide range of stimulating topics so you can talk about contemporary life and society
* reading various articles so you can extend your knowledge of Scottish and British culture
* listening to different types of media
* reviewing common grammar problems and extending grammar knowledge
* improving your pronunciation

Maximum of 5 students per class.
Monday to Friday 9.15am - 12.30 (15 hours per week)
Monday to Friday 9.15am - 12.30 + Mon/Tues/Thurs 13.30-15.15 (20 hours per week)

Group Plus Tuition 20, 25 or 30hrs per week
Group Tuition Plus is for students who want to work in a small group for part of their course and also want to have some hours of one-to-one tuition to focus on individual needs. During the one-to-one classes you can choose to focus on Exam Preparation, Business, Legal, Financial, Medical, Aviation, Tourism or General English. Other specific topics are available on request.

* 15 hours General English in a small group per week
* 5, 10 or 15 hours of one-to-one tuition per week to focus on specialised areas of English
* maximum of 5 students in a small group
* includes one afternoon excursion per week
* from beginner to advanced level
* available throughout the year

Weekend Refresher course
SPRING WEEKEND IN EDINBURGH
ECS Scotland is giving you the chance to brush up your English language skills whilst enjoying a weekend in Edinburgh
These weekend ‘refresher’ courses will consist of 8 hours of General English in a
small group.
The focus will be on speaking and listening skills through a variety of communication activities
Friday (optional)
Dinner with other people from the course

Saturday
9.30am – 13.30: A variety of speaking and listening activities
at the school (Refreshments will be available throughout the morning)
The afternoon is free for you to explore Edinburgh
or
14.30 – 16.00: Introduction to Scottish whisky and a tasting session at
ECS Scotland *

Sunday 9.30am – 13.30: A variety of speaking and listening activities
at the school (Refreshments will be available throughout the morning)

Saturday morning IELTS Exam Preparation Course part-time
Saturdays 9.30 - 12.30

Saturday morning IELTS exam preparation courses are for students who cannot join a course during the week.  Courses are available for 2 - 8 weeks, please contact us for specific dates.

During the course we will be:
* developing your general and academic English vocabulary
* practising IELTS examination skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking
* reviewing common grammar problems and extending grammar knowledge
* improving your pronunciation

Inglés General en Edimburgo, Escocia
Los cursos de Inglés General permiten a los estudiantes trabajar en grupos reducidos de un máximo de cinco personas. Estos grupos tan reducidos ayudan a mejorar las habilidades de expresión y comprensión oral de todos los estudiantes.

Los cursos de Inglés General son ideales para estudiantes que desean mejorar sus habilidades de escucha y habla para comunicarse con confianza con nativos o compañeros y amigos tanto para viajar como trabajar o estudiar en inglés.

Durante un curso de Inglés General podrás:
• desarrollar tu vocabulario general de inglés para expresarte con precisión
• debatir sobre un gran número de temas para poder hablar de la vida y la sociedad contemporánea
• leer artículos y ampliar tu conocimiento de la cultura escocesa y británica
• escuchar contenidos en diferentes medios
• revisar problemas gramaticales comunes y ampliar tus conocimientos de gramática
• mejorar tu pronunciación

Inglés Empresarial en Edimburgo
Los cursos para el trabajo y los negocios combinan trabajar por las mañanas en grupos reducidos de como máximo 5 personas, con clases individuales por la tarde. Por la mañana se desarrollan las habilidades de comunicación oral y destreza auditiva para la comprensión de Inglés General, y por las tardes clases individuales enfocadas a tus necesidades profesionales.

Sea cual sea el tipo de trabajo que desempeñes, déjanos ayudarte a expresarte con claridad y precisión.

Antes de empezar el curso, te enviaremos por correo electrónico un cuestionario de “Análisis de Necesidades” para que lo completes y nos lo hagas llegar. Durante la primera de las clases individuales, diseñarás junto con tu profesor, el plan de estudio para el curso. Te animamos a que participes activamente en la preparación y el contenido de tu curso.

Dinos en qué trabajas y diseñaremos un curso específico de Inglés Empresarial que encaje con tus necesidades. Tanto si necesitas ayuda para preparar presentaciones, escribir e-mails en inglés, preparar informes o hablar por teléfono con clientes de habla inglesa o compañeros.

ECS Scotland te puede enseñar las mejores técnicas y ayudarte a adquirir confianza para cuando necesites utilizar el inglés.
Durante el curso podrás:
