Contact us now also regarding our Residential Summer Camp 2022: The Ingenium Academy provides residential summer music camps annually for talented musicians and vocalists (14-18 years old) from all over the world. Located in the beautiful and historic city of Winchester, just one hour south-west of London, we offer 1, 2 and 3-week summer music programmes in the form of a unique musical and cultural experience for talented teenage singers and instrumentalists. Our international summer music camp offers seven exceptional musical programmes: Voice, Piano, Saxophone, Conducting, Composition, Chamber Music, and Orchestral programmes.

• All of our teachers are carefully selected not only for their extremely high standards of musicianship and expertise, but also for their energy and enthusiasm for working with young musicians and their talent for teaching.

• Ingenium Academy students receive world renowned tuition from the UK's finest teachers and musicians, including names from the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, the Royal Academy of Music, and multi-grammy award winning a cappella group The Swingle Singers.

• Our teaching methods range from full ensemble rehearsals to small sectional groups and one on one tuition, in which students are encouraged to focus on whatever aspect of their playing / singing they wish to develop. This gives our students the opportunity to learn from and work with many diverse and inspiring professionals both on an individual and group level.

Summer Music Camp 2022:
A typical week at the residential Ingenium Academy is packed with rehearsals, sectionals, workshops, day trips and fun evening activities. 

Our international summer music camp offers seven exceptional musical programmes:

• Vocal Programme: Sing with the Ingenium Youth Choir

• Orchestral Programme: Form orchestral & chamber ensembles

• Piano Programme: Improve all aspects of playing as well as gain ensemble playing experience

• Saxophone Programme: Improve all aspects of playing as well as gain ensemble playing experience

• Conducting Programme: Gain hands-on experience & expert tuition in conducting - study for 1 or 2 weeks.

• Chamber Music Programme: For musicians with a passion for small ensemble playing

• Composition Programme: For composers of all levels with a passion for writing and discovering new music

Our students rehearse and perform challenging and exciting repertoire that is carefully selected to develop technique, deepen the students' understanding and awareness of the music and to provide a great sense of enjoyment and achievement in performance.

Musical & Vocal Workshops:
Every week, our students have the opportunity to take part in a wide variety of vocal and musical workshops led by internationally renowned experts in pop, jazz, classical, gospel and opera.

• Located in the county of Hampshire in South East England, Winchester is a historic cathedral city and the ancient capital of England.

• Only one hour south-west of London and its international airports, the city of Winchester is a treasure trove of English heritage, tradition and culture. 

• The city itself is small yet packed with historic buildings, monuments, a magnificent cathedral plus plenty of shops and cafes providing a safe and stimulating environment for Ingenium students.

• Students stay and rehearse at Winchester College, which was founded in 1382 by William of Wykeham, Bishop of Winchester.

• The bedrooms and dormitories at Winchester have between 1 and 8 beds. All rooms and floors are single sex.

• We take care that our students are placed with other students of a similar disposition and strive hard to ensure that everyone is happy during their time at The Ingenium Academy.

• To ensure that all students are safe and happy within their learning environment, we also have a pastoral team whose main concern is the safety and well-being of our students. Our pastoral team is made up of responsible young adults and teachers who are all passionate about music, and have extensive experience in working with and caring for young people.

• Our pastoral staff also reside in the boarding houses throughout the three weeks in order to provide round-the-clock supervision and care, and guide the students at all times.


Airport Transfers:
• Each student will be met upon arrival at the airport or train station in London,and accompanied to Winchester by a member of our team who will show them around our campus, introduce them to the other students and help them to settle in.

• We ensure that each student feels secure and comfortable from the moment they arrive.


Recreational Activities:
As well as experiencing the wonderful city of Winchester, our young students also enjoy day trips, including to nearby London and to the South coast. In London, they will explore famous sights such as the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament. In addition, they will enjoy top classical concerts and West End theatre.

Back on campus, there are an array of evening activities such as team games, discos, movie nights, talent shows, quiz nights and barbeques.
