Delphi Academy of Los Angeles:
Are you searching for a top-quality English immersion program for your child or teenager? Located in the San Fernando Valley region, Delphi Academy of Los Angeles is an independent, co-educational day school that provides an English Immersion Program for international students from around the world (elementary school, middle school & high school age students). In addition to our academic year program, we offer an English summer camp, winter camp, and a spring camp. Homestay accommodation with local host families is available.

Our English Immersion Program is designed for children and teenagers who wish to become competitive with American students in their pursuit of an American education.

By attending an American school and participating in the same classes as native English-speaking students, he / she will be fully immersed in the English language and American culture.

In a well-rounded educational environment, our foreign students will participate in:

- Basic English reading, writing, & conversation classes
- Elective classes
- Social activities

• Course Duration:
The duration of the program depends on many factors, including the age of the student on admission, their current level of English and how hard they work. 

The average high school student may attend the English immersion program for a full academic year or more, while an elementary school student or middle school student may choose to complete a shorter program.

• Entry Requirements:
To qualify for admission, international students must have an acceptable level of English literacy – usually a very strong intermediate level – in both spoken and written English. In addition, they must pass a Skype interview.

Each student must also have good grades from their current school in their native language, as well as very good letters of recommendation from three of their teachers.

English Camps for International Students:
- In Spring, Summer, and Winter
- Course Duration: 4 weeks but this can be extended up to 3 months
- Accommodation with an American host family available

The focus of our English language immersion camps for international students is on immersing them in English through participation in classes, workshops and fun activities with the rest of the student body at Delphi.

Our aim is that after four weeks, international students will be living, talking, breathing, and dreaming English!

Apart from their English immersion classes, international students spend their time with American students, building friendships and developing their understanding of the English language by discussing topics of interest and asking questions.

We believe that this is the most effective way to make English a usable language.

While our English camps are designed for a 4-week stay, this can be modified based on the student’s travel plans. Camp participants are not enrolled in our full academic program, and so they do not need to obtain an F-1 (student) visa. 

Daily Classes:
- 2 hours of intensive English Immersion(conversation, vocabulary and writing instruction)
- Academic instruction (Reading in English, learning study skills)
- Sports class (Physical Education)
