UK-TEFL:
UK-TEFL offers a wide range of short, intensive courses throughout the UK to individuals and groups looking to Teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), with the aim of enabling them to teach English to non-native English speakers in the UK and overseas. We offer 3-day TEFL certificate courses which run Mon-Wed in Birmingham, London, Manchester & Cambridge, held every two weeks. We also run 2-day weekend TEFL courses across the UK in cities including Birmingham, Bristol, Brighton, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Southampton among others. These are held every four to six weeks. We also provide a 2-day Advanced TEFL course for experienced English teachers.
Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certificate Courses:
2-Day / 3-Day Standard TEFL Certificate Courses:
During the course, you will be taken through all aspects of becoming an English teacher. This includes planning a lesson, classroom management, hands-on teaching practice, how to teach grammar and what games to use to keep your students interested. This is all taught in an interactive and lively environment by one of our UK-TEFL approved trainers.
During the classroom based courses, you will be introduced to the world of teaching English as a foreign language with warmers and grammar; your trainer will set out a lesson, putting you in the position of the non-native speaking students. This is reinforced with a foreign language lesson, where students become aware of the importance of target language as you are engaging in the realities of being a language beginner.
20-hour / 2-Day Advanced TEFL Course:
The accredited Advanced Certificate Course is EXCLUSIVE to UK-TEFL but we welcome anyone who already holds a TEFL certificate to attend. This specialised course is designed and based upon the feedback from our graduates. The course covers business English and teaching young and advanced learners, and on successful completion you will be awarded a certificate.
Teaching Practice:
Each student undertakes teaching practice, with your fellow students playing the role of EFL students and you will observe other students teaching for a total of six hours. A UK-TEFL training course can also be a useful qualification for teachers who don't have a lot of formal training. The course sharpens your teaching practice, confirms your ability, and may even lead to internal promotion or a better teaching job.
Whether you wish to teach English for the short or long term, UK-TEFL training courses give you the training you need to help you adjust to a dynamic and challenging new profession.
