All Singaporeans residing in Australia are encouraged to register with the High Commission. This is to enable the High Commission to stay in touch with Singaporeans and provide assistance in times of emergency. The registration will also facilitate dissemination of information on events organised by the High Commission. In case of a lost passport the person should first report it to the local Police Department. Once the identity of the citizen has been verified, a document of identity can be issued in order to return to Singapore only. The Consular Officer will require at least three working days, especially during weekends or after Singapore office hours, to verify identity of the person.
The High Commission also provides notarial services for official documents to be used in Singapore. It is important to make an appointment with the Consular Office ahead, before coming down.

All visitors to Singapore must meet the following entry requirements:
Valid travel document (minimum validity of 6 months at the time of departure);
Onward/return tickets (if applicable);
Entry facilities to the next destination; and Sufficient funds to stay in Singapore and visa for entry into Singapore (if applicable).
