What to do in case of loss of passport:

  • Report the loss of passport at the nearest police station; and, if possible, obtain a right and left thumbprint at the police station;
  • Contact the Singapore Embassy in Brasilia to apply for temporary travel document known as "Document of Identity (DOI)" to facilitate the return back to Singapore. The following are required for the DOI application:
  • Police Report of Loss of Passport;
  • Left and right thumbprint for verification of applicant's identity;
  • BRL50 for DOI application and associated costs to courier DOI to applicant's location.

Brazilian ordinary passport holders will be able to visit Singapore for business or tourism purposes for a period of up to 30 days without a visa.  Individuals intending to stay for more than 30 days at a time, or for more than 180 days a year, or to seek employment, are required to apply for the appropriate visa/work pass. 

The Entry Requirements to Singapore are listed below:

  • A passport with at least 6 months validity;
  • Sufficient funds to last for the intended period of stay in Singapore;
  • Confirmed onward/return tickets;
  • Entry facilities to your onward destinations e.g. visas
  • Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.

Singapore Ordinary Passport Holders can visit Brazil for up to 30 days without a visa. 

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
