The Consulate-General of the Republic of Singapore safeguards the interests of Singaporeans visiting, living and working in Budapest and promotes bilateral, political, economic and cultural links between Singapore and Hungary.
Consular services provided by the Embassy:
- Issuance/renewal of passports;
- Issuance of residence permits;
- Issuance/renewal of certificates of identity;
- Dealing with citizenship matters;
- Assistance to Singaporeans in distress;
- Registration of Singaporeans abroad;
- Notarial services.
Singaporean citizens should immediately report a lost passport to the nearest Singapore Overseas Mission. Passports reported lost cannot be used, even if later recovered.
They will need to provide:
- Documentary proof of their Singapore citizenship (for example, an Identity Card or a Singapore citizenship certificate).
- Two passport-sized colour photographs taken within the last three months.
- A police report (if they are a victim of crime, e.g. theft) or a statutory declaration at Overseas Mission.
Hungarian citizens/passport holders do not need visas to visit Singapore.
