Consular services provided by the Consulate-General:

  • Issuance/renewal of passports;
  • Issuance of residence permits;
  • Issuance/renewal of certificates of identity;
  • Dealing with citizenship matters;
  • Assistance to Singaporeans in distress;
  • Registration of Singaporeans abroad;
  • Notarial services.

In case of lost or stolen passport abroad, Singaporean citizens should immediately report it to the nearest Singapore Overseas Mission. Passports reported lost cannot be used, even if later recovered. Documents required:

  • Documentary proof of Singapore citizenship (for example, an Identity Card or a Singapore citizenship certificate).
  • Two passport-sized colour photograph taken within the last three months.
  • A police report (if the applicant is a victim of crime, e.g. theft) or a statutory declaration at Overseas Mission. If police report is not possible, applicant should obtain an acknowledgement slip or receipt, or note down the report number as well as the name and location of the police station.

Application Procedures for Social or Business Visa Applicants: It is mandatory to provide an Invitation letter or Hotel booking confirmation which clearly indicates the NRIC / FIN no., Name and Designation of the signatory.

To apply for an entry visa for business or social visits, you will need the following documents:

  • Duly completed Form 14A signed by you
  • Your recent passport-sized colour photograph taken within the last three months
  • A photocopy of your passport biodata page (valid for at least six months from the date of your entry into Singapore) 
  • A completed Form V39A (Letter of Introduction for Visa Application (LOI)), which may be issued by a local contact in Singapore. If you cannot secure an LOI from a local contact, you may ask your Embassy for an LOI to support your visa application.

A S$30 non-refundable processing fee is payable online using a Visa or MasterCard credit/debit card. Visa processing time is three to four working days. Fees must be paid in local currency.
